Nicole-Class of 2017

Its always an honor when a mom chooses me for BOTH her girls’ senior portraits. How lucky am I that I get to photograph and capture a few memories of this special time in their child’s life! And Nicole and her sister are definitely polar opposites.
This girl is the poster child for SUMMER! She loves the river, warm weather and all things warm so we incooperated this theme when we took her senior photos! She was a BLAST to shoot and was game to anything I asked- climing, lying on the ground, getting wet, changing behind a car door, holding poses for long periods of time ๐Ÿ˜‰ All of this made for an awesome senior session!
Hope you love all your images, Nicole! Thanks for making my job so fun!
If you see her or her mom, they have a pretty awesome book of her and Mom’s favorite images to share!

Pattison Family

I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family Mother’s day weekend! Everyone came home to spend the weekend with their mom and this is what she asked for as a gift-I can’t think of a better gift, can you? Especially when your kids and grandkids all live far away. It was a beautiful evening in Elkader and we got some pretty great shots, formal and them just having fun- that they will forever have to remember this wonderful weekend when everyone came home!

Mesa Class of 2016 Senior Rep

What can I say? I had a very good sport that braved the cold with enthusiasm and was willing to do some modeling for me for a senior rep session. She was up for anything, even if I asked her to stand outside in 12 degree weather with a prom dress on-no questions asked ๐Ÿ˜‰ If you are thinking about senior portraits with me, book soon, I only take on 15 a year and already have some sessions on my books! We have fun! I promise ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Eli’s arrival!

I first met Marcus and Katie when I photographed their very first belly pics. I took pictures of their first baby and I was there on their wedding day. This past weekend I got to be present for the birth of their third, sweet, little bundle. It was supposed to be a natural birth. Camera in hand, I raced to the hospital to capture the arrival of this sweet little peanut. I was there photographing Katie laboring, on the ball, walking the halls, contractions and all. After about 3 hours of me being there, it became apparent that something wasn’t quite right. Sure enough, the doctor found that the baby had turned himself and was breach. A c-section was needed to ensure a safe delivery. Our delivery pictures took a very different turn as I was not allowed into the operating room during the surgery. I took pictures up to the very last step I was allowed to go with her to and then sat in her hospital room praying for a healthy baby and an uneventful delivery. Sure enough, Eli Marvin arrived at 9:55 pm Saturday. All 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and 20 inches of him was 100% perfect!!! GOD IS GOOD! While I didn’t get the actual delivery, I did get the first snuggles, kisses, and first official pictures of Mr. Eli. So here is a little bit of the arrival of this wonderful little man on his birthday. Katie and Marcus, I will be sending you a flash drive with ALL the images on it very soon! ๐Ÿ™‚
